| Golden hour over Galata Tower |
One of my favorite states of Istanbul is right there in the 'golden hour.' Galata and its surroundings stood before me in all their simplicity.
On one side, the bustle of the city flowing over the Galata Bridge; on the other, the historic Galata Tower perched on the hill... It was January, I believe, and it was cold—yet the sun provided a lingering sense of warmth. The light was so beautiful that I wanted to capture everything just as it was, in its most natural state, without any staging. This timeless vista of Istanbul compels one to take a new note every single time.
For those who wish to add this frame and all the colors of that moment to their digital archive or evaluate it for their projects, I have prepared a high-resolution copy for professional licensing.
You can access the editorial usage rights for this work and other records in the Istanbul series. It would be a pleasure to see these moments accompany a story.
